Job Description

We are on the lookout for one passionate and detail-oriented Breakfast and Lunch Line Cook and Prep person to join our dynamic culinary team. In this role, you'll be a valuable part of our daily meal service, preparing delicious breakfast and lunch offerings that meet high standards of quality and presentation. This position is perfect for someone with a love for food, a knack for efficient kitchen operations, and experience in high-volume food production. You'll work in a lively environment where teamwork, safety, and creativity come together to serve our community with tasty, nutritious meals every day.

We are a family owned 24-year old brand and this position is coming about because we are about to introduce a newly expanded breakfast menu and will be opening earlier than we previously had been.

You MUST be available to work Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays as part of your weekly schedule. You must also be available most mornings to start as early as 6:00am and be able to stay until 3:30pm to shut down the Kitchen. We are closed on Mondays and our opening hours will be 7:00am until 3:00pm all the other days except Saturday when we are open until 4:00pm. This could be structured as a 4 day a week job if that helps but Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays are required.

Duties

• Prepare and assemble breakfast and lunch menu items according to established recipes, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Assist in food preparation tasks including trimming and slicing of all cooked and prepared Deli meats and food handling to support meal production.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, knives, slicer and other culinary tools.
• Maintain strict food safety standards by following sanitizing procedures, proper storage practices, and hygiene protocols.
• Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient needs and recipe adherence for high-volume production.
• Help with food presentation and plating to ensure visually appealing dishes for dine-in or catering services.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy breakfast and lunch hours while maintaining a clean work environment.

Experience

• Prior experience in a comparable breakfast and lunch restaurant is mandatory; a strong understanding in food safety is essential.
• Experience working in fast casual restaurant environments with high-volume production is highly valued.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques such as trimming, slicing, grilling, and general culinary skills is required.
• Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently is necessary for smooth daily operations.
• Proven ability to follow recipes precisely while maintaining flexibility for special dietary needs or catering requests.
• Background in food industry roles involving food handling, catering, or meal prep will help you excel in this position.
• A commitment to food safety sanitizing procedures and excellent knife skills will ensure quality results every time.
