The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in welding procedures, inspection, and maintaining quality standards throughout all stages of the welding process. This position requires a high level of precision, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities Verify welding process/procedure required for each project through the Foreman and QA/QC Representative (to be noted on each Fabrication Traveler issued with drawings). Verify or assist with the verification of fit-up prior to weld-out as required. Complete and inspect all weld passes. Verify the correct Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) before beginning welding tasks. Be ultimately responsible for the quality and completeness of work, including removal of any buckshot. Ensure 100% penetration is achieved on all pipe welds, including hydro-welds. Inspect all welding equipment (e.g., welding machines, leads, flux-core boxes, grinders) at the start of every shift. Clean and apply stencil/stamp 3/8" from every weld upon completion. Welds must also be marked every three (3) feet along the weld length. Show up to work on time and as scheduled. Complete and discuss a thorough Job Safety and Environmental Analysis (JSEA) prior to starting each task. Maintain a positive attitude towards customers and the company. Sweep and maintain a clean, safe work area daily or as needed. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Qualifications Preferably a minimum of 2 years of experience in fabrication. Proficient in stainless steel TIG (GTAW) welding procedures. Knowledge in Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW) procedures a plus. Ability to learn and perform other welding procedures.
